It was the first year of the Brilliant Book Festival held in beautiful Insole Court in Cardiff.
I was lucky enough to run 3 workshops with the fantastic @BethMOrrisWorkshops. We had lots of busy tots attending with their helpers. We based the workshops around 2 books that i’ve illustrated. The first was ……
We read the story with our little Ruby puppet and then made some fantastic ponds with Ruby Ducklings in them. The ponds looked amazing!
The next 2 workshops were based around “The Little Puppy Lost” written by Holly Webb
We read the story and then got to work on some lovely puppy artwork….
I drew some puppy faces and asked if anyone was brave enough to help me fill the rest of the faces in. The children drew a ‘happy mouth’ a ‘sad mouth’ a ‘sticking out tongue’, some ‘glasses’ and a ‘sleeping pup’. They looked brilliant! Great pencil holding skills!!
Now everyone was warmed up, Beth Morris had some excellent Pup art projects for the tots to do!
They made……
….. collage puppies with furry fabric and paper plate Pups too! Everyone had brilliant artwork to take home!!I
I signed some of my books at the end….
What a Brilliant Day at the Brilliant Books Festival!!! Thank you to everyone who came!! See you there next year!! xxx
